PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria firefighters braved freezing temperatures Saturday morning to fight a house fire.
The blaze broke out at 6:15AM at 111 East Illinois Avenue in the East Bluff neighborhood. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the vacant structure.
The fire is believed to have originated on the first floor, and was extinguished with 10 minutes.
No one was injured. Damage is estimated at around $15,000.
