SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Governor J-B Pritzker is hosting a ceremony at the Executive Mansion on Tuesday, as the Illinois State Armory is renamed in honor of the state’s 38th Governor, Jim Edgar.
The Republican from Central Illinois was a 2-term governor, serving from 1991-1999. Edgar died last year at the age of 79 following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
