PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man who is on federal probation for a child sex abuse material conviction is facing new allegations on similar charges.
Peoria Police says a tip was received in July from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding the materials that were reportedly found on a user account associated with 50-year-old Joshua Hazelbaker.
Hazelbaker was detained on Wednesday after a traffic stop. Several electronic devices were seized during the execution of a search warrant at his residence on the 4200-block of North Brandywine Drive.
He is charged with Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material, as well as violations to the Sex Offender Registration Act.
Hazelbaker was convicted in 2017 and is a registered sex offender.
