WEST PEORIA, Ill. – A celebration of labor will march its way through Farmington Road in West Peoria on Monday.
The annual Labor Day Parade will kick off at 11:00 A.M. near Lower Bradley Park and end at Raber Packing Company.
Peoria County Board Chairman Jimmy Dillon tells WMBD’s “The Phil Luciano Show” the event honors the working man and working woman.
“You talk about big business or people that make a ton of money, these are the people that do the living and the dying,” Dillon said. “They wake up, go to work, go to work at Caterpillar, go to work at construction companies, they do the building, they do the construction.
A post-parade event will take place at Raber Packing Company.
This is the second year the parade will take place in West Peoria.
