BUSHNELL, Ill. — Farmington-based Kitchen Cooked Chips plans to shutter its facility in Bushnell after more than 40 years in the community.
Paul Blackhurst, a representative with Kitchen Cooked, told the Peoria Journal Star the closure is part of an acquisition by Utz Quality Foods, a snack food brand based in Pennsylvania.
Blackhurst said the merger will help the company become “more competitive in the marketplace.”
The Bushnell closure will take place over several months, affecting five employees, who are expected to be transferred.
