Weekdays 3p - 6p
John Malone is a radio lifer. He started at age 16 in his hometown of Canton, Illinois. In fact, John hosted the afternoon show on WMBD from 1999 to 2004. His life took a detour into academia, where he developed and operated a successful radio and television academic program at Lincoln College until its 2022 closure. He then moved the program to Eureka College.
In 2024, while still in higher education, John returned to WMBD as a periodic substitute afternoon host. And now, after 22 years, he’s returned to his former WMBD time slot! Never say never!
While away from the microphone, John earned a Master’s degree in Communication Studies and a Doctorate in Public Administration. “Dr. John” now considers himself a “recovering academic”.
Please be kind as John readjusts to the talk radio routine!
