Start Your Morning with Greg Batton and Phil Luciano.
Greg Batton is the co-host of Greg and Phil, mornings on 1470 and 100.3 WMBD Radio. A veteran of the radio industry since 1987 he has worked for many stations in Peoria and Chicago, co-hosting WMBD’s morning show on WMBD since 2005.
Greg is the father of 4, grandfather to 1, husband to Yvonne Greer, and a proud Peorian. He is a storyteller and Dreamer.
Greg’s motto is: Do Good, Be Kind, Go Home, Repeat.
Phil Luciano has been telling central Illinois stories for almost 40 years — in print, on television and with WMBD Radio. His dozens of journalism awards testify to his ability to not only dig for the truth but find intriguing people and offbeat yarns. He taught for decades at multiple schools, including Bradley University and Illinois Central College, as well as at his church.
He and wife Karen live in rural Woodford County, where they try to keep pace with their lively grandkids. On the weekends, they often crank up Phil’s 8-track player, then flip on the tube and scream at the Chicago Bears.
