PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police confirm shots were fired near Bradley University Monday night.
Just before 10 p.m., police were called to the 1400 block of W. Main Street for a report of someone being shot at. The address is near Bradley University’s new business and engineering complex.
Police said there was no victim.
BUPD posted a campus safety alert detailing information about the incident:
According to campus police, three people knocked on the door of a home on Main Street. When the door was opened, one person showed a handgun and fired a shot into the hallway.
The house was not occupied by Bradley students and is not affiliated with the university in any way.
Police said that the suspect fled the scene in a car, heading east.
Police believe it was a targeted incident.
