PEORIA, Ill. — A collage of winter weather tricks will hit the Peoria area on Saturday.
25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins said that rain will continue until around 10:00 a.m. or early afternoon before transitioning into freezing rain and sleet.
“The mix will last a couple of hours before changing over to a quick hit of snow late this afternoon, lasting through the evening,” Collins said.
Peoria is expecting to see 2-3 inches of snow, with less amounts towards Bloomington, and more towards Galesburg.
Collins said that strong winds will make travel difficult all day.
A flood warning remains in effect until Tuesday morning, and a winter weather advisory is in effect until Sunday.
