PEORIA, Ill. — Valentines Day might be a good day to stay inside and snuggle as the coldest temperatures of the season will arrive.
News partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins said first, we will see accumulating snow starting Wednesday.
“It looks like snow will overspread the area Wednesday afternoon, go into Wednesday night, and Thursday morning. And keep in mind these numbers will be tweaked, but right now it looks like about three to five inches,” Collins said.
After the snow we will see freezing temperatures dropping into the negatives.
“This system will bring the coldest air of the season with lows of five below and wind chills 10 to 20 below on Valentines Day,” Collins said.
