SOUTH PEKIN, Ill. – A South Pekin home sustained damage following a late-morning fire Monday.
South Pekin Fire officials say firefighters used the help of two other departments to put out a blaze on Saint Marks Drive near Rose Street.
The fire was put out within about 15 minutes of the 11:00 a.m. call, and after those on scene first saw smoke coming from a back window.
The fire was contained to one room, but smoke damage could be seen throughout.
All those in the home got out safely. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, but an investigation is continuing.
