PEORIA, Ill. — Several inches of snow is expected to fall in the Peoria area through Thursday.
News partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins forecasts rain Wednesday morning followed by snow by midday and into the overnight hours.
“Expect three to five inches of snow around metro Peoria with four to six inches toward Bloomington-Normal. Areas west of the Illinois River around Galesburg will see three to four inches,” Collins said.
Behind the snow, temperatures are expected to fall into the single digits Thursday evening, then below zero lows Friday morning with wind chills 10 to 15 below zero.
The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for all of the 1470/100.3 WMBD listening area 11 a.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. Thursday.
