PEORIA, Ill. — A kitchen fire Saturday in Peoria caused $10,000 in damage to the home.
Peoria Firefighters/Paramedics responded to the call just before noon; and the home, located at 422 E. Arcadia, was evacuated before firefighters arrived on the scene.
The fire was quickly knocked down and contained to just the kitchen area. However, there was smoke damage throughout the home.
The Red Cross was called upon to assist for shelter for 2 adults and 1 child.
