CHICAGO — Three people from Morton have been hospitalized in Chicago after being struck by a car as they were crossing the street.
WBBM-TV in Chicago has reported that three pedestrians were struck by a vehicle as they were on their way to a Chicago Blackhawks game.
The crash happened at 4:30 p.m. when the driver of the vehicle was attempting to make a green light.
One of the men struck was Marshall Tucker, the track coach and a teacher at Morton High School. News partner 25 News reports that according to an internal email, Tucker is currently in a neck brace and has a brain bleed.
All three victims of the accident were taken to local hospitals. One was in critical condition, and another was in serious condition. The driver of the vehicle was also taken to a local hospital.
