PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria firefighters were called just after 11:15 p.m. Wednesday to the 2700 block of W. Marquette. Crews arrived to find a detached two stall garage fully engulfed in flames.
“The first arriving crews did a good job of pulling hand lines and getting the fire knocked down to keep it from spreading to houses on either side of the garage,” said Peoria Fire Battalion Chief Clint Kuhlman.
The garage and everything inside it were a total loss.
“The estimated damage is $13,000 to $14,000. A fire investigator will go out there today in the sunlight to determine the cause of the fire,” Kuhlman said.
