PEORIA, Ill. — The St. Patrick Society of Peoria said Tuesday’s parade is still on.
Officials released a statement Wednesday afternoon saying it will happen, rain or shine, with one caveat.
They have asked parade participants not to throw out any candy or beads.
The ended the statement with a reminder those who are sick or are at a high risk of getting sick should not attend the parade.
Large metro areas across the country, including Chicago, have canceled their St. Patrick’s Day parades in light of the coronavirus scare.
