PEORIA, Ill. — Walmart is changing its operating hours to ensure people get what they need during the COVID-19 epidemic. The company announced this change Saturday in a press release.
Beginning Sunday, March 15, Walmart hours are being changed to 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. until further notice. Walmart says this will help them stock product that people need. Walmart also said that this also allows them to clean and sanitize their stores.
Stores that are currently already operating under more reduced hours, such as 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., will remain the same during this change.
In the statement, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Dacona Smith thanked Walmart associates for their work in making sure customers get what they need during this unprecedented time.
