CHICAGO – Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker says his regional plan still stands.
During the past few weeks, 11 local counties, including Peoria, provided the governor with proposed plans that provided new matrices on quicker and safer ways to re-open local business.
Pritzker said Monday he will not consider any other re-opening plans provided by counties in Illinois.
“Some of them are well crafted there’s no doubt about it, but ultimately a decision had to be made about how to put a plan together for the entire state of Illinois and regionalize it, and that’s what we did,” said Pritzker.
Pritzker says that every step of the way, his plan promotes science and safety precautions first.
