PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria County Health Department reported nine new cases of COVID-19 Saturday, bringing the total of 318 COVID-19 cases in the Tri-County area.
There are now 225 positive cases in Peoria County, 73 in Tazewell, and 20 in Woodford.
There were no new deaths reported Saturday, keeping the total of
eight people have died in Peoria, four in Tazewell, and two in Woodford County.
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced 1,462 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois on Saturday, including 61 additional deaths.
The IDPH reported a total of 118,917 cases, including 5,330 deaths, in 101 counties in Illinois.
The age of cases ranges from younger than one to older than 100 years.
Since Friday, there are reported of 25,343 specimens for a total of 877,105.
The preliminary seven-day statewide positive cases as a percent of total test from May 23-May 29 is 7%.
