PEORIA, Ill. — A man has been arrested in Texas and sent back to Peoria after being linked to a March Peoria shooting.
The shooting occurred on March 26, when officers responded to a ShotSpotter Alert in the 1100 block of W. Hannsler.
Police found one victim that afternoon with gunshot wounds to his legs.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
According to Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson, during the course of the investigation, detectives developed information that led to 29-year-old Adrian B. Isom Gregory as the suspect.
An arrest warrant was issued by the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office for Attempted First Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery.
Dotson said on April 15, the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Gregory without incident in Arlington, Texas.
Gregory was extradited back to Peoria on June 9 and booked into the Peoria County Jail.
Gregory is awaiting arraignment for the Peoria County warrant.
