PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Firefighters were called to 1704 N. Linn St. around 9:45 p.m. Saturday on a report of a residential structure fire.
Fire crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from the second story of the front of the house.
The fire was contained to the attic area and the exterior corner of the home.
According to Peoria Fire Battalion Chief Steve Rada, the fire was determined to be caused by fireworks.
“Several witnesses reported seeing people using air-born fireworks next to the house prior to the fire.
Firework debris and packaging was located at the scene as well,” said chief Rada.
There were no injuries.
