PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. — A person who attended a special Peoria Heights Village Board meeting has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Peoria Heights Village Administrator Dustin Sutton, those who convened on Saturday August 1st to discuss fire services at the Heights village hall, have been notified of the potential COVID-19 contact.
“We are alerting members of the public so that they can take measures to protect themselves and those close to them, should they feel a need to,” said Sutton.
Sutton added that he is confident the Village has taken the follow-up steps necessary to ensure the safety of employees and visitors alike at the Village Hall.
A statement from the Village of Peoria Heights indicated the person diagnosed was masked and practicing social distancing, and is now in quarantine.
