PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police make multiple arrests in connection to a recent rash of business burglaries in Peoria.
Four male juveniles were arrested late Tuesday night after attempting to at least steal two vehicles from Auto Lane Used Cars at 3414 N. Dries Lane.
While conducting surveillance, detectives observed multiple juveniles enter the parking lot of the car dealership.
Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said the juvenile suspects utilized keys previously stolen from the dealership during a business burglary to gain access to vehicles parked in the lot.
The suspects attempted to drive away in two stolen vehicles, but were quickly apprehended by police without incident.
The four male juvenile suspects were reported to be between the ages of 13 & 15.
According to Dotson, they were apprehended and arrested for multiple offenses including but not limited to: Motor Vehicle Theft, Motor Vehicle Theft Conspiracy, Obstructing Police, Business Burglary, and Possession of Stolen Property over $5000.
“All juveniles were not arrested for each offense above.
The above represents all offenses applicable to each incident independently,” said Dotson.
Three of the four were transported to the juvenile detention center.
