PEORIA, Ill. — COVID-19 activity between Tuesday and Wednesday throughout the Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford tri-county was relatively subdued, compared to activity in recent days.
No deaths were recorded in the reporting period in any of the counties.
71 tri-county residents received positive test results.
Tazewell, which transferred 35 previously recorded cases to other counties, had the highest amount of new cases, with 30.
Peoria reported 27, while Woodford tallied 14.
As was the case on Tuesday, 57 virus patients were in area hospitals. 17 of them were in intensive care.
The area’s recovery rate improved to 84.26%.
