PEORIA, Ill. — Tazewell County accounted for all three COVID-related deaths reported Friday by the Peoria City/County Health Department.
One death was to a long-term care facility resident, who was a female in her 60s. She lived at Timber Creek.
The other deaths were of a male and female, both of whom were in their 70s and did not live in long-term care.
Peoria County reported 47 newly active cases, while Tazewell reported 40 and Woodford said it had 13 new cases.
62 people were in area hospitals with the virus, of whom 18 were in intensive care.
The area’s recovery rate went down, marginally, to 83.27%.
