PEORIA, Ill. — Woodford County’s COVID-19 death totals increased Tuesday by two in Peoria City/County Health Department’s tri-county update.
That was because a woman in her 80s who lived at Heritage Health in El Paso passed away, as did a man in his 90s who did not live in long-term care.
Both deceased individuals did have comorbidities.
The deaths brought Woodford’s COVID-related death total to 17. Peoria’s count stood at 66, while Tazewell’s was 57.
A total of 132 residents of the three counties found out between Monday and Tuesday they tested positive for COVID.
59 of them resided in Peoria County, while 48 lived in Tazewell, and the other 25 were residents of Woodford.
Area hospitalizations went up slightly, to 82, from Monday’s 80. 21 of the 82 patients were in intensive care.
The tri-county recovery rate went up to 82.43%, and Region Two’s rolling seven-day positivity rate was at 7.5%.
