SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Exactly 4,000 new cases of COVID-19 were detected throughout Illinois between Monday and Tuesday.
46 deaths were announced by the Illinois Department of Health during that time, in which 62,074 specimens were collected by laboratories, statewide.
The rolling seven-day positivity rate was unchanged from Monday, at 6.4%.
Hospitals across the state reported 2,758 people as of Monday night were in hospitals. 595 people were in intensive care, while 241 were on ventilators.
