PEORIA, Ill. — Should you wear gloves to the polls?
Peoria City/County Health Department Administrator Monica Hendrickson said besides wearing a mask, which is required, any safety precautions you take Tuesday at your polling place will help stop the spread of COVID-19.
If you do make the personal choice of wearing gloves as you cast your vote, “just remember to dispose of it properly. You know we don’t want to have trash lying around as well,” Hendrickson said.
Hendrickson told WMBD’s “The Greg and Dan Show”, local election officials have done a great job following safety guidelines so far.
“Whether it’s increased disinfectants, having masks available, even having their workers cleaning routinely between every use of the polling station,” Hendrickson said.
Polling places will be open until 7 p.m. Tuesday.
