WASHINGTON D.C. — In an early Wednesday morning speech from the White House, President Donald Trump expressed confidence about his standing in the election, while threatening legal action.
“We’ll be going to the U.S. Supreme Court. We want all voting to stop,” he said.
“We don’t want them to find any ballots at 4:00 in the morning and add them to the list.”
Vice President Mike Pence offered a softer tone.
“The right to vote has been at the center of our democracy since the founding of this nation, and we’re going to protect the integrity of the vote,” he said.
“I really believe with all my heart, with the extraordinary margins, Mr. President… we are on the road to victory, and we will make America great again, again.”
Trump’s speech came approximately an hour after Democratic challenger Joe Biden gave a speech from Wilmington, DE.
