PEORIA, Ill. — The Peoria City/County Health Department reported Monday 1,059 new cases of COVID-19 throughout the tri-county over the weekend. In addition, 13 deaths were also reported.
Nine deaths were to Peoria County residents:
A male in his 60s, a resident of Gateway.
A female in her 60s, with comorbidities, not a resident of a long term care facility.
A male in his 70s, who did not reside in long term care.
A female in her 70s, a resident of Bickford of Peoria.
A female in her 70s, who was not a resident of long term care.
A female in her 80s and a female in her 90s, both residents of Heritage Health.
A male in his 90s, who did not live in long term care.
Tazewell County reported three deaths:
A female in her 60s, who was not a resident of long term care.
A male in his 70s and a female in her 90s, both residents of Generations of Riverview.
Woodford County one death:
A female in her 80s, with comorbidities, who was associated with Eureka Apostolic.
129 area people are in area hospitals with the virus. Of those, 37 are in the ICU.
The recovery rate took a fall over the weekend, dropping more than 2% to 70.5%. The home isolating rate went up and now sits at 27.17%.
The hospitalized rate did fall slightly and is now at .81%.
