A Tazewell County man in his 80s died. The Peoria City/County Health Department did not report whether or not he had comorbidities, but he was not believed to have lived in long-term care.
Meanwhile, Peoria experienced eight deaths. Three men in their 80s who lived at Bickford succumbed to the virus, as did two females in their 70s, a female in her 80s, a male in his 80s, and a male in his 90s.

209 people as of Tuesday afternoon were in area hospitals with the virus or suspected cases of the virus. 46 of them were in intensive care.
The area’s recovery rate fell sharply, to 67.21%.
Tuesday marked the seventh day Region Two’s rolling seven-day positivity rate fell. The number Tuesday went from 14.7% to 14.5%.
A region must experience less than 12% seven-day average test positivity rate for three consecutive days and greater than 20% available hospital bed availability, meaning both regular care and ICU, for three consecutive days.
The region must also have a declining seven-day average for COVID hospitalizations for seven out of 10 days.
