SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Testing numbers reported Wednesday afternoon by the Illinois Department of Public Health indicate the state has surpassed 10 million COVID-19 tests since the start of the pandemic.
IDPH said 114,233 people between Tuesday and Wednesday were tested.
11,378 people during the reporting period received positive test results. 155 deaths were reported.
The state’s rolling seven-day positivity rate marginally increased, to 10.6%.
6,133 hospital beds throughout the state as of Tuesday night were occupied by patients with the virus or with suspected cases of it. 1,208 of them were in intensive care and 679 were on ventilators.
