PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Firefighter/Paramedics were on the scene of a blaze around 7:00 Tuesday morning in the 2500 block of Starr St.
Multiple engines responded to the call at a two-story home.
The fire was knocked down around 7:15. Preliminary reports indicated it did not affect the interior of the home.
Crews used a hydrant at the corner of Starr and Griswold to extinguish it.
A female and her dog were evacuated. They will be able to reoccupy the home.
An investigator was brought in to determine the cause. Representatives of Ameren were also being consulted.
