SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The statewide COVID-19 rolling seven-day positivity rate fell between Thursday and Friday to an even 8%.
112,292 people during the period got tested, as 7,377 people received positive test results, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
Additionally, 181 deaths were reported.
4,690 hospital beds throughout the state were being occupied by patients who had the virus. 1,023 of them were in intensive care, while 589 patients needed the help of a ventilator to breathe.
