SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The state of Illinois as of Tuesday is projected to have administered a million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Illinois Department of Public Health on Monday reported 14,422 shots were given between Sunday and Monday to the state’s residents. This brought the total of doses given to 996,410.
2,312 tests during that reporting period came back positive, while 16 people died from related complications.
Hospitalizations as of Sunday night were at 2,387. Of those patients, 515 were in intensive care, and 278 were on ventilators.
Labs throughout the state collected 61,263 specimens to be tested.
