PEORIA, Ill. — The Peoria area will be hit this weekend and next week by some of the coldest temperatures so far this winter.
News partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins says Peoria can expect two to three inches of snow before this evening. Then, the temperatures will drop to below zero.
“Another blast of arctic air will drop lows to five below with wind chills 15 to 25 below in the morning,” said Collins.
After that, more snow is expected next week and the cold temperatures will continue with below zero lows nearly everyday.
As of Saturday morning, snow is expected to hit the Peoria area again on Thursday.
