MORTON, Ill. — Morton School District 709 announced its health and attendance numbers for the week ending on Friday, Feb. 5, remained steady, and some improvements were made.
As of Friday, 12 students were diagnosed with COVID-19, a two student decrease from the previous week. Student quarantines were also down from 105 to 73 in the same time period.
Zero staff members were positive with coronavirus, the same as last week. Six staff members were in quarantine as of Friday, compared to eight the previous week.
Morton employees are also moving forward with voluntary vaccinations which should have a positive impact on future numbers, said Superintendent Jeffrey W. Hill.
