PEORIA, Ill. — Bitterly cold temperatures forecasted for Monday have prompted Peoria Public Schools to cancel in-person learning.
The National Weather Service projected a high of 15, but with wind chill values between nine below and one above.
PPS Spokesperson Thomas Bruch said all students will be asked to use Microsoft Teams, with log-on times corresponding to respective schedules, and no “A” day or “B” day will be observed.
Students who learn virtually will proceed as normal, Bruch said, and the district will make further announcements based on how the following days’ forecasts shape up.
