PEORIA, Ill. — Two people were hospitalized Wednesday night after being shot in separate incidents in Peoria.
Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said the first shooting happened around midnight. A victim was brought by private vehicle to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand.
It’s believed the shooting happened in the 1200 block of N. Ellis, Dotson said, with the incident possibly stemming from a verbal altercation.
Less than two hours later, gunfire broke out in the 700 block of W. McBean, Dotson said. A short time later, a victim who’d been shot in the torso arrived at a hospital by private vehicle. Their condition was not available.
No suspect information has been released.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
