The victim of a Peoria shooting Saturday night in the 300 block of E. Ravine has been identified.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said 31-year-old Bobby King, of Peoria, was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in critical condition.
“Despite the aggressive rescuscitative efforts and continued care in the ICU, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced brain dead,” Harwood said.
King’s organs will be donated, and an autopsy will follow either Monday or Tuesday.

PEORIA, Ill. — Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division have identified 28-year old Odis S. Jackson as the suspect responsible for the shooting Saturday night that left one victim fighting for his life.
Information indicated Jackson and the victim knew each other and engaged in a verbal altercation in the 300 block of E. Ravine prior to the incident. After the shooting, Jackson fled the scene.
Later Saturday evening, the Special Investigations Unit identified Jackson’s location at a residence in the 3600 block of N. Finnell. After five hours of negotiations, the Special Response Team took Jackson into custody.
Jackson was then transported to the Peoria Police Department for interview purposes.

PEORIA, Ill. — A Saturday night shooting victim was fighting for his life after being found inside a vehicle in the 300 block of E. Ravine.
Officers responded at 5:12 after a ShotSpotter alert indicated three rounds of gunfire in the 1800 block of N. Peoria.
When they arrived, the officers found the man and the vehicle.
Officers removed him from the vehicle and began trying to save his life.
He was taken to a hospital for further treatment.
No suspect information was immediately made public.
