PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police have made an arrest in connection with a November shooting.
Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said at approximately 4:10 a.m. Saturday, officers had contact with 31-year-old Kevin Carter, a suspect in a shooting November 23, 2020 in the 1900 block of W. Antionette.
Carter was transported to the Peoria Police Department for interview purposes and was subsequently arrested for unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, reckless discharge of a firearm and having no FOID card.
Carter has multiple felony charges on his record including a guilty verdict for theft for which he was sentenced to 4 years in IDOC in 2010. He was also found guilty of Unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon in 2016, according to news partner 25 News.
