PEORIA, Ill. — The Peoria City/County Health Department for the second day in a row reported a 24-hour new COVID case count of 54 for the tri-county.
Tazewell accounted for the most, with 23, followed by 16 for Woodford and Peoria’s 15.
A Peoria County man in his 70s with comorbidities passed away.
21 people were in area hospitals. Three of those people were in intensive care beds.
The greater Region Two rolling seven-day positivity rate dropped below 3%, falling to 2.9%.
The amount of people in regional hospitals dropped by three. 103 people as of Wednesday afternoon were in regional hospitals, in total.
ICU bed availability stagnated at 27%.
