PEORIA, Ill. — A total of 285 residents of Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford Counties tested positive between Wednesday and Thursday for COVID-19.
164 of the new cases are Peoria residents, 95 are Tazewell, and 26 belong to Woodford.
74 people as of Thursday afternoon were in hospitals. This is an increase of four from Wednesday’s count, and all four newly hospitalized patients were intensive care-level.
Region Two continued its climb upwards in rolling seven-day positivity rate, as it has risen to 5.1%.
The number of COVID patients in hospitals increased yet again, and ICU bed availability remained at 22%.
