PEKIN, Ill. — Tazewell County residents will soon be able to access certified copies of their marriage licenses online, rather than having to come to the County Clerk’s Office to obtain them.
“You need this for verification for, the big one is “Real ID”, but you also need it for many other identification purposes. Individuals need copies of those documents,” Ackerman said.
Tazewell County, Illinois is the first county in the state, and among some of the first in the nation to offer the Triedata software.
“Individuals can now, from the comfort of their home, ask for a certified copy of their certificate and print it off at their home printer,” Ackerman said.
The E-Certified service will be available to Tazewell County residents beginning May 1st. It will eventually be expanded to include birth and death certificates, Ackerman said.
“With this new software, funded without any additional cost to Tazewell County taxpayers, our office continues our goal of exceeding expectations rather than just meeting expectations,” Ackerman said.
