SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — A total of 3,394 Illinoisans between Wednesday and Thursday tested positive for the coronavirus.
The state had a total of 38 COVID-related deaths.
107,689 doses of the vaccine between Wednesday and Thursday were administered, but that amount wasn’t enough to keep the daily average for the last seven days above six digits, as it fell to 97,434.
2,115 people as of Wednesday night were in hospital beds with the virus. Of those, 475 were intensive care-level, and 231 were on ventilators.
Labs statewide collected 89,057 specimens to be traced for COVID-19.
