PEORIA, Ill. — COVID-19 between Thursday and Friday claimed the lives of four Peoria County residents.
Three were in their 70s, one woman and two men, while a man in his 80s also died.
A total of 137 people in the Peoria-Tazewell-Woodford tri-county tested positive for the virus. 72 are Peoria residents, 46 live in Tazewell, and Woodford added 19 to its totals.
Hospitalizations went up slightly, from 115 to 120. The intensive care number remained at 29.
Region Two’s ICU capacity stayed at 16%, neither an improvement or downgrade from the past two weeks. Meanwhile, rolling seven-day positivity has ticked downwards to 4.8%, and the overall number of regional patients in hospitals went down.
