MORTON, Ill. — Morton District 709 COVID-19 numbers have continued to improve over the last few weeks, according to Superintendent Jeffrey Hill.
As of Friday, May 7, just three students had been confirmed with COVID-19, which is down from 12 on April 30.
In addition, quarantines dropped in that same time frame from 75 to 46.
Hill applauded the seniors as their graduation nears.
“We had a super successful Senior Send-Off at Morton High, and graudation is scheduled for Saturday, May 15,” said Hill. “This has been a very resilient bunch, and they deserve an ovation.”
The final day of school for students at Morton District 709 is Thursday, May 20.
