PEORIA, Ill. — Two residents of the Peoria-Tazewell-Woodford tri-county during the most recent COVID-19 reporting period passed away from conditions related to the virus.
A Peoria man in his 30s died, as did a Tazewell man in his 80s.
38 area people between Wednesday and Thursday tested positive. 22 are Peoria residents, nine live in Tazewell, and seven are Woodford inhabitants.
Tri-county hospitalizations dropped from 72 to 59, with 15 being intensive care patients.
Overall, Region Two’s metrics continued trending positively. Rolling seven-day positivity rate dropped to an even 3%, and overall hospitalizations decreased by four.
ICU bed availability ticked a percentage point downwards, to 23%.
