SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — More than 11 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have now been put into Illinoisans’ arms.
The 59,494 doses administered on Tuesday sprung the state over the 11M mark. 66% of adults have gotten at least one shot, and 49% have been fully vaccinated.
A total of 1,139 positive tests and 27 deaths from COVID were recorded during the period.
1,395 virus patients as of Tuesday night were in hospitals, of whom 351 were in intensive care and 181 were on ventilators.
As a whole, labs collected 57,402 specimens to be tested.
