SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) on Sunday reported 602 new cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, including 18 deaths.
In addition, 67% of Illinois adults have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose and more than 50% of Illinois adults are fully vaccinated, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
As of Saturday night, 1,078 people in Illinois were hospitalized with COVID-19. Of those, 298 patients were in the ICU and 163 patients were on ventilators.
The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity rate is 1.7%.
On Saturday, 39,222 doses were administered in Illinois.
